And because I believe it concerns many of us, this website, among others, was created: <em>\"God in Everyday Life\"<\/em>.\u00a0<!--EndFragment --><\/p>\n<p>Some people say: It doesn&#039;t matter what you believe. Others are convinced that only a certain kind of faith leads to salvation. We think: Neither of these is true. For me, it&#039;s about something else. Something healing.<\/p>\n<p>This thought leads me to further questions:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 What is healing faith \u2013 for me, for others?<br \/>\n\u2013 What helps me to stay connected \u2013 with myself, with others, with God?<br \/>\n\u2013 What keeps my spirituality alive \u2013 even when I don\u2019t have time?<\/p>\n<p>And I sense: Jesus shows us what spirituality can look like in everyday life. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.&quot;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><!--StartFragment --><\/p>\n<p>These words have become my inner compass. They help me examine:<br \/>\n<em>Does my action serve love \u2013 for God, for others and for myself?<\/em><!--EndFragment --><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Many people are deeply committed to charity, social work, volunteering, caring for relatives, or raising children with love. Some forget about self-care and self-love, or label them as selfishness. The soul becomes drained and tired.<br \/>\nHow can I ensure that my soul remains and becomes whole?<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Other people pay close attention to self-care and set clear boundaries. However, sometimes they lose sight of the common ground that constitutes an important part of a functioning relationship: &quot;Love your neighbor as yourself,&quot; and describe helping others as helper syndrome.<br \/>\nHow can I ensure that I am there for others <!--StartFragment -->\u2013<!--EndFragment --> without losing myself?<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Spirituality isn&#039;t just something for an hour of worship or time off. It surrounds us and permeates every area of our being. I can seek advice and guidance, but no one can force anything on me with threats.<a href=\"https:\/\/gottimalltag.de\/en\/glaubens-gedanken\/spiritueller-missbrauch-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">see page \u201cspiritual abuse<\/a>&quot;). If someone tells me what I should believe <em>must<\/em>, what is right and wrong, I hear inside:\u00a0<strong><br \/>\n\u201cTest everything\u2014hold fast what is good.\u201d (1 Thessalonians 5:21)<br \/>\n<\/strong>I may check <!--StartFragment -->\u2013<!--EndFragment --> should check.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong><!--StartFragment --><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Faith isn&#039;t compulsory. It requires freedom\u2014freedom of heart.<br \/>\n<strong>\u201cChrist has set us free for freedom! Stand firm therefore, and do not submit to the yoke of slavery again.\u201d<\/strong> (Paul&#039;s letter to the Galatians 5:1)<br \/>\nThis sentence stays with me.
