contemplative laying on of hands
based on Open Hands® by Anne Höfler
The laying on of hands is commonplace in the New Testament. Jesus laid his hands on people to bless and heal them; and he gave this commission to his followers as well. We too can lay our hands on people, but we should always remember that God's Spirit works through us, not ourselves. God's Spirit works as He/She/It wills, and what happens is not necessarily what we want or what we consider good. It is, in any case, healing.
The laying on of hands is healing for the soul, both for those who receive it and those who give it.
In the practice group, which meets monthly, the "Christian laying on of hands" is practiced according to the... Openhands-Schule-des-Handauflegens.de / Openhands-Schule by Anne Höfler practiced practically.
May divine healing power flow through us,
cleanse, strengthen and heal us,
fill us with love,
healing warmth and light
protect and guide us
on our way.
We are grateful that this is happening.
